ITV BRIT Awards viewers ‘struggling to watch’ show due to ‘painfully awkward’ presenters

Fans tuning in to see the UK’s biggest artists battle it out for the 2023 BRIT Awards have been left cringing after the first few awards this evening, as they took to the internet to criticise the awkward presenters so far.

Whilst praise has come in for host Mo Gilligan, fans have been left less than impressed by the various celebrities presenting awards as their pre nomination banter and back and forth has failed to land and in some cases flopped entirely. Tom Grennan and Ellie Goulding even shared some particularly odd jokes about her breasts on stage.

At one point even Mo was having trouble as he tried to work a crowd of apparently camera shy celebrities in Stanley Tucci and Emily in Paris star Camille Razat. The latter very obviously not wanting to be interviewed by the comedian.

Reacting to all the awkwardness one fan wrote: “Waiting for a sign of atmosphere at #TheBrits This is painful to watch.”

Another agreeing: “These audience interactions are hard work and excruciating to witness #TheBritAwards #TheBrits.”

“Celebrities presenting awards at #thebrits is always so awkward. Too many pauses. It’s like a teams meeting when someone accidentally leaves themselves on mute.” A third added.

Praise was still reserved for Mo though, another writing: “Anyone else finding the award presenters awkward at #thebrits? … Mo is good at presenting though.”
