The Kansas City Chiefs received some huge news just days before the Super Bowl kicks off.
Chiefs star defensive back L’Jarius Sneed suffered a troubling injury against the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC title game. He was ruled out for the rest of the game after an awkward collision.
It was unclear if he’d be able to suit up for the Super Bowl. However, Sneed was a limited participant in practice today and NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport suggested he will play.
Chiefs fans are obviously thrilled by the news.
“L’Jarius Sneed is so important to this defense. He has a diverse skill set which enables him to make huge plays. Hopefully this is a minor issue,” one fan said.
“The update we Sneeded,” joked another fan.
“the best news i’ve ever read,” said a third.
Sneed is a vital piece of the Chiefs defensive backfield, which will have a tough task in the Super Bowl. Eagles wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith along with tight end Dallas Goedert are enough to give any defense headaches.
