ITV Coronation Street star announces abrupt exit from soap and issues statement as fans beg ‘no’

ITV Coronation Street star Amy Robbins has announced an abrupt exit from the soap. Amy, who plays Charlotte Jordan’s Daisy’s mother in the soap, only recently made her debut.

Fans are confused as Amy announced she had wrapped filming on the ITV soap. Coronation Street fans rushed to have their say in the replies to the soap star.

Amy wrote: “And so .. Christina bids a fond farewell to her beloved long suffering Daisy and her darling soon to be soon in law Daniel . @charliejordanxo @rob.mallard @sallyannmathews I shall miss you. Thank you ALL at @coronationstreet for making me so welcome. As dream jobs go .. this one was hard to beat.”

In response, a Charlotte Jordan fanpage wrote: “That was quick. We will miss you Amy. I hope you will return one day.” Zoggie asked: “Oh no is that it? There is so much more they could have done with the character.”

Avril said: “Oh no I was hoping you would be a regular.” Char said: “NOO YOUR GOING ALREADY :(” Claire wrote: “You are amazing amy will miss you on that show xx”

Amanda wrote: “Aw I hope you come back again soon. X” Bab said: “Will you be back for the wedding.” Nicole said: “You’re so so bloody amazing!!!! I hope you come back on the show very soon.” Imogen shared: “Awww you weee incredible! You’ll be missed on the cobbles even if daisy doesn’t think so hahaha xx”

Jane said: “What a great character amy hope your back soon xx.” Mollie wrote: “You where absolutely fab!” The 51-year-old only arrived on Weatherfield as Daisy Midgeley’s mum, Christina, last month. Daisy is currently planning her wedding with Daniel Osbourne but her plans have been rocked after she was targeted by a stalker.
