BBC The Apprentice viewers shocked as Karren Brady forced to step in

The Apprentice viewers have been left shocked as Karren Brady makes a rare intervention during tonight’s challenge (Thursday, January 9). On the BBC One reality show, the remaining candidates were flown to Dubai where they were met with their latest task.

The 12 hopefuls found themselves in the United Arab Emirates to tackle the corporate away day market that’s worth over £700 million per year, but it appeared to be a disaster.

Appearing by video at Heathrow Airport, Lord Sugar said he set his candidates up with two clients and gave the two groups instructions, he added: “They are looking for a top-notch day out for their employees, negotiate a price and deliver everything they ask for.”

Victoria Goulbourne headed-up one group of candidates onto a yacht experience that left her clients hungry after they waited for a long time for food.

The corporate client’s dinner appeared to be non-existent as Mark tried to put the hot food together in a small kitchen area, but Karren Brady had no choice but to step in.

Entering the yacht’s kitchen looking unimpressed, Karren said to the group: “I hate to say to you, but your clients are starving.” Viewers couldn’t believe she had to intervene.

Taking to Twitter, one person said: “Oh my God. A Karren intervention. Guests starving and on the other team, rationed water. #theapprentice.”

A second stated: “The fact Karren gets involved is how bad you are #TheApprentice.”

A third wrote: “O – oh … Karren intervening … never a good sign! #theapprentice.”

“Karren walking in felt like a mum at a sleepover telling you to go to sleep”,” added another.
