NFL Network reportedly removed Michael Irvin from his scheduled Super Bowl appearances this week after a woman accused him of misconduct.
“Former Cowboys WR Michael Irvin won’t make any of his scheduled Super Bowl week appearances on NFL Network after a woman accused him of misconduct in a hotel lobby,” Dallas Cowboys insider Michael Gehlken said.
The football world took to social media to react to the latest news. Some want to see the video released to show the truth of the matter.
“I need video evidence now that the article said it happened in a hotel lobby. Cause someone lying,” one fan pointed out.
“Never surprised w Irvin…but who knows these days, people also make things up,” added another.
“Yikes,” said a third simply.
Irvin suggested the two had a very brief conversation, shook hands and then went their separate ways.
“Honestly, I’m a bit baffled with it all,” Irvin said. “This all happened in a 45-second conversation in the lobby. When I got back after going out … I came into the lobby, and I talked to somebody. I talked to this girl. I don’t know her, and I talked to her for about 45 seconds. We shook hands. Then, I left. … That’s all I know.”
We’ll have more on the alleged incident as it unfolds.
